What should I or my child wear for class?
It is important that you or your skater is able to move freely. The arena can be very cold so it is also important to make sure you wear many warm laters that you can put on or take off depending on how cold or warm you may be. Thinner socks that extend above the ankle are best to allow to protect your ankles but also to not be too thick to make the skates too tight, making them uncomfortable and cut circulation off making feet colder. Scarves, mittens/gloves and warm hats are great things to have in your skate bag. A helmet is encouraged for beginners and adults who feel they may need some extra protection and they are strongly recommended for our snowplow sam and basic 1 levels.
Do I need my own skates?
No - all classes include the cost of rental skates for anyone who does not have their own. Please arrive early to ensure you have time to get help with rentals if you need them.

Are your teachers qualified?
All of our coaching professionals are certified professionals or amateur skaters with years of experience. All coaches and junior coaches have a basic skills instructor membership and our professional/private coaches are insured and certified by USFSA/PSA each year.
Can we still join your classes after the term has started?
Absolutely! We offer rolling admission on all of our sessions so once the term has started, its not too late to join! You can join week 1, 2, 3 or any week that works for you as long as lessons are not full.
Can parents watch?
Yes. We have many areas to view from, the arena bleachers, the snack bar dining area behind the glass, upstairs inside, or on the balcony. We ask that parents please refrain from coaching their child and to try not to be a distraction.
What is your ratio of skaters to coaches?
This depends on sign up, but we try to keep class sizes small so that each skater can get plenty of attention. Sessions 1 and 2 tend o have lighter sign up than session 3.
